A video that has been widely shared shows a man repeatedly slapping another individual, with claims suggesting that a Pakistani Muslim was attacked for questioning an Arab Muslim’s visit to the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. However, D-Intent Data has discovered that these allegations are unfounded and misleading. The video is not recent; it has been available online since at least 2009, long before the BAPS Hindu Temple opened to the public in February 2024.
Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) serial fake news peddler and propagandist @RealBababanaras wrote. “A converted Muslim from Pakistan was preaching of Islam and questioning the visit of BAPS Hindu Temple Abu Dhabi by an original Arab Muslim, resulted in”.
Another propaganda account and Self-proclaimed OSINT @FrontalForce has also disseminated the video and wrote. “A converted M’s from Pakistan was preaching of Islam. And questioning the visit of BAPS Hindu Temple Abu Dhabi by an original Arab Muslim, resulted in”.

The truth behind the claims about Arab Muslim, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video and found that this video was old and unrelated to the Hindu temple BAPS in Abu Dhabi.
To verify the claims made by the users. Subsequently, we performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google Lens. This led us to a YouTube video containing the same visuals uploaded in December 2009.
According to the video uploader, it shows a Bangladeshi man assaulted for spying on women. However, we could find actual details about the video from verified sources. But it is clear that the video was from 2009. Whereas the BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi opened to the police in February 2024.
Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the video was old and unrelated to the BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi.
