Fact Check: Digitally Altered Image of Netanyahu Misattributed to IRGC Surveillance

An image is being circulated showing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu through a window, allegedly taken by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) with a threatening message: “Do not test our capabilities — we intend to keep you in a constant state of anxiety.” However, this claim is false the image is digitally altered.

A user, @A_M_R_M1, shared this manipulated photo claiming it was leaked by the IRGC as a surveillance capture of Netanyahu in his office.

“The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps captures a photo of the Israeli Prime Minister inside his office,    publishes it, and writes:
“Do not test our capabilities — we intend to keep you living in a state of constant anxiety!””

Truth Behind the Image:

As the image gained traction online, it caught the attention of the D-Intent Data Team. We launched an investigation using reverse image search and frame-by-frame analysis. Our research led us to the Getty Images archive, which confirms the original photograph dates back to February 2009. It shows Netanyahu speaking with his father, Benzion Netanyahu, at his father’s home in Jerusalem — not from a surveillance source or recent event.
