A video showing two individuals preparing street food in an extremely unhygienic manner is being circulated with the false claim that the cooks are Indian. Influencers are sharing the clip to mock Indian cuisine and portray Indian street vendors negatively. However, this claim is false. The video is neither from India nor made by Indians it is a scripted production created specifically for shock value and propaganda.
Influencer accounts such as @LaraLotus_ and @EbnHussein1424 amplified the clip, captioning it with statements like “Congrats India, your dishes are winning hearts across the world 😂” to mock and falsely attribute the video to Indian street food practices.

Truth: Scripted Video Originates from Iranian Accounts Not India
As the false claim gained traction on social media, it drew our attention. The D-Intent Data Team conducted a detailed frame-by-frame investigation and keyword research. Our investigation led us to the original Instagram accounts @mohsen.farahshad and @vahidnazari1371, who posted the scripted clip. The content belongs to a growing trend of staged “gross cooking” videos produced in Iran, Pakistan, and Bangladesh to generate views and bait engagement. These videos are then misrepresented on other platforms to spread racist and anti-India propaganda.

In reality, Indian street food vendors do not prepare food in such unhygienic ways, and no evidence links the video to India. The clip is purely for shock value and monetization, later weaponized to demean Indians online.
