Reports have emerged alleging that a teenage girl gang-raped in a moving car in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. However, D-Intent Data has found that these claims are false and fabricated. The police have clarified that the girl’s aunt, along with her cousin, fabricated the rape story to extort money by implicating neighbours.
Sharing the interview video of the girl on X (Formerly Twitter), @surya_samajwadi wrote. “Sonu Pandit and Monu Pandit gang-raped a minor girl in a moving car in Jhansi. They filled her hairline with sindoor, left the girl unconscious and threatened to kill her. It is hope that Yogiji will read out their names in the House”. (Translated from Hindi)
Another propagandist account @iamharunkhan has also shared the video and wrote. UP’s Jhansi- three-man gang rapéd a minor in a moving car. The inspector told the victim’s father, who had come to the police station to file a report. “You are not able to handle your daughter.”

The truth about the rape case, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the interview video purportedly showing the girl narrating the incident came to our notice, we conducted research and analysis of the incident and found that the entire case was fake and fabricated.
To verify the claims made by the users. We did a keyword search on Google. This led us to a police statement published on the official X account of Jhansi Police. According to the statement “Based on the application received regarding the rape of a woman under the Premnagar police station area, a case has been registered under relevant sections and an accused has been arrested. The medical examination of the victim is being conducted.”
During research, we found another statement regarding the same incident. According to the police, the girl had actually run away from home to marry her boyfriend. When he didn’t show up, she wandered around the city and eventually went to her aunt’s house in a distressed state. Her aunt, along with her cousin, then fabricated the rape story to extort money by implicating neighbours. The conspiracy was exposed through CCTV footage, and legal action is being taken against those involved.
According to the latest report, A woman and her two relatives booked under the POSCO act for allegedly registering a fake case against two persons for gang raping her in a moving car in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi, informed police. Hence, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the claims about a teenager’s gang-rape in a moving car in Jhansi are false and fabricated.
