Fact Check: No Recent India Objection Over Qatari-Pakistani Rafale Training

An image showing five military pilots standing in front of a Dassault Rafale fighter jet is being shared with the claim that India recently raised objections over joint training between Qatari Rafale pilots and Pakistan Air Force (PAF) pilots. This claim is false and misleading. There has been no recent joint training between Qatar and Pakistan, and no official Indian concerns have been raised on the matter.

A propaganda account, @TacticalTribun, posted the image claiming:

“🇮🇳❌🇵🇰🇶🇦: India raised concerns over Qatari Rafale pilots’ joint training with Pakistan Air Force pilots.”

Several other users @herdpeace @SMakinens82237 @qazafi197476 @Muhamma64920536 @The_RifT_ and @HassanA45171 amplified this narrative across social media, despite a lack of any supporting evidence.

Truth Behind the Claim:

As this claim spread widely on social media, it caught the attention of the D-Intent Data Team. We immediately began our investigation using keyword searches and reliable news sources. We found that the image being shared is not recent — it is from June 2021, during the Anatolian Eagle 2021 air exercise held in Turkey. At that time, Qatari and Pakistani pilots did take part in the joint exercise and posed in front of a Qatar Air Force Rafale jet. However, this old image is now being reused with a false claim. There is no recent joint training between Qatar and Pakistan, and India has not raised any new objections. Also, Pakistan is not participating in the ongoing Anatolian Eagle 2025 exercise, where Qatar is present. Sources like gmap.nl and old posts from PAF social media accounts confirm the original context of the 2021 photo. The current claims are entirely misleading and fabricated.

INTENT:

Propagandist accounts are recirculating old images with fabricated claims to falsely present diplomatic tensions and push anti-India narratives.
