The Jammu and Kashmir administration started an eviction drive in January to retrieve government land illegally occupied by influential people like Ex-ministers, Bureaucrats by misusing power. Misleading information is being circulated about it.
FACT:
Case-1 Authorities retrieved National Conference (NC) senior leader Ali Mohammad Sagar’s 6 kanal State land worth Rs 9 crore at Rakh-e-Gund Aksha in central Shalteng area which was illegally occupied.
Case-2 Anti-encroachment drives against former chief of J&k Pradesh Congress and ex-minister Peerzada Muhammad Syed, Ex-MoS Syed Farooq Andrabi, and heirs of former CM Syed Mir Qasim. 1 kanal of Kahcharie land under the occupation of Peerzada Muhammad Sayeed was retrieved.
Case-3 Family of former legislator from Dooru Syed Farooq Andrabi had encroached upon 2 kanal and 7 marlas of Shamilat 4 land by way of orchards at Shistergam. The land has been retrieved and notice boards indicating the status of land have been installed on the site.
Case-4 15 kanal of Shamilat land, which had been occupied by the heirs of former chief minister Syed Mir Qasim have been retrieved by a team led by Tehsildar Dooru.
Case-5 Authorities in Pahalgam led by Tehsildar Pahalgam Muhammad Hussain took over a guesthouse named Green Acker Which was an illegal structure raised by ex-EO MC Pahalgam Bashir Ahmad Dar and ex-Secretary MC Pahalgam Manzoor Ahmad retrieved successfully by authorities.
Case-6 Illegal constructions made on Roshni land by son of ex MLA & by businessman has been demolished.
Case- 7 The authorities retrieved over 13 Kanals of forest land illegally occupied by former minister Taj Mohi-Ud- din and now a DAP leader during the ongoing anti encroachment drive in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Case-8 SDM Vijaypur Vinay Sharma along with Revenue team/Police team demolished two big Godowns of ex top Bureaucrats constructed on state land measuring 5.13 Kanal of land worth crores of rupees adjoining to Industrial Estate, Bari Brahmana.
Case-9 The authorities on Saturday demolished an outer wall of a former bureaucrat Farooq Renzu’s house near the Srinagar Airport.
Case-10 The authorities demolished an outer wall of senior National Conference (NC) leader Ali Muhammad Sagar’s house near the Srinagar Airport on Wednesday.
Case-11 Revenue authorities in Jammu retrieved 23 Kanal 9 Marla State land from illegal possession of Kavinder Gupta, BJP leader & former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K who also functioned as Speaker Assembly, at Ghaink, Tehsil Bhalwal, Jammu.
Case-12 J&K Authorities retrieved encroached land from kin of a former National Conference Minister and demolished illegal shopping complex of a Hurriyat leader in Anantnag district.
J&K Authorities retrieved encroached State land from the occupation of three prominent political and two business families, including owners of Srinagar’s Nedou’s Hotel.
Deputy commissioner&district magistrate Jammu tweeted a video statement and assured people that no residence or small commercial units on which the livelihood of families is dependent will be disturbed during the anti-encroachment drives. She said it’s a pro-people drive.
