What is the Actual Truth About the Viral Picture? : Fact

In actuality, this is an Al-Jazeera project from 2020.

An article was published on May 17, 2020, where the same image was attached with the caption “An encounter between a Jewish couple in Ijzim, Israel (south of Haifa) the the displaced Palestinians in whose house that couple resides, who are denied return to their village and property.”

This photo is from Izhim. The majority of the villagers fled or were driven during the Palestinian Nakba (Catastrophe), and Israel captured Ijzim during the 1948 War. The Arab homes were demolished and destroyed by the Israelis to create room for long-term Jewish settlements.

The video was posted in a youtube channel on May 17, 2020. The old Palestinian couple in the picture does not live in the same house. The Palestinian man’s father had owned that house, which was destroyed during the Nakba and replaced with a new house. So, at least since 1948, they have not resided there.

Al Jazeera failed to provide any evidence to support the claim made by that couple, who are neither from Brooklyn nor the US.
