Hezbollah allegedly released video of their anti-ship missiles as US carrier groups sit in the Mediterranean sea, according to a video that is making the rounds.

According to @jacksonhinklle, Video of Hezbollah’s anti-ship missiles was released while US carrier groups sit in the Eastern Mediterranean. The tweet was made on Nov 6, 2023, which has received an about 830.5k views on X. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About the Video? : Fact

The truth is that the video footage, which dates to 2019, allegedly shows C-802 anti-ship cruise missiles being resealed for the first time. They therefore belonged to Hizbollah property. It is not a recent video.

We visited iranpress, which published an article on the same incident on August 16, 2019 and later updated it to May 18, 2020 with the headline “Hezbollah’s C-802 anti-ship cruise missiles”.

Another article was published in relation to the same incident on September 16, 2019. In the video released by Hezbollah,  a storage facility containing several C-802 missiles of the same type that struck the IDF Navy missile frigate Hanit in the Second Lebanon War are being seen. In the video, a few elements were hidden, maybe to prevent the IDF from figuring out where they were.
