A claim is being circulated on social media suggesting that a French woman was recently sexually assaulted in Udaipur, Rajasthan, by an illegal Bangladeshi immigrant named Mubassir Khan. This narrative falsely links a serious incident to communal and immigration-based misinformation. The accused is not a Bangladeshi immigrant he has been identified as Siddharth alias Pushpraj, an Indian national and part of the victim’s ad shoot team.
A propagandist account, @HPhobiaWatch, posted:
“She was raped by Mubassir Khan, an illegal Bangladeshi Muslim arrested by UP Police.”

Several other users @TrumpUpdateHQ amplified this claim across platforms without verifying the details. and after something this account delete this post but we have its archive link.

Truth: Accused is an Indian Crew Member, Not a Bangladeshi Immigrant
As this post gained traction online, it drew our attention. The D-Intent Data Team immediately launched an investigation. Through keyword research, official police statements, and reverse image analysis, we traced the real details of the incident. According to a video posted by @ANI, Udaipur SP Yogesh Goyal confirmed:
A French woman who had come here for shooting an advertisement was sexually assaulted by a member of her ad shoot team. The incident happened on June 22, 2025. The accused, Siddharth alias Pushpraj, took the woman to his room after a dinner party and assaulted her. He was arrested the next morning on the Chittorgarh highway and confessed during preliminary questioning.

This statement debunks the false narrative. The accused is not named Mubassir Khan, is not Bangladeshi, and not an illegal immigrant. He is an Indian citizen associated with a local casting company called “Udaipur Casting Call.” Additionally, the viral image shared alongside the claim shows Musabbir, a man arrested in a completely unrelated molestation case involving a minor in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh — confirmed in a press statement by @bareillypolice.
