A video showing numerous buses engulfed in flames has been widely shared, with claims that it depicts a fire in Tel Aviv caused by Yemeni drone attacks. However, this footage is actually from June 2022, when eighteen buses were destroyed in the northern city of Safed. Reports indicate that the incident was related to a suspected criminal scheme involving demands for protection money, not any military conflict.
Sharing the video on X (Formerly Twitter) @MyLordBebo wrote “Tel Aviv on fire after Yemeni drones successfully hit their targets”. Later, he deleted the post.

Serial fake news peddler and propagandist account @dhruvrahtee has also disseminated the video and wrote. Now Yemen strikes on Tel Aviv, Israel. The post has received more than 230k views, 8k likes and a significant number of engagements.

As soon as the posts containing the visuals and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the incident and found that the video was not recent. But an old video from June 2022.
To verify the claims made by the users. We performed a reverse image search of some key frames from the viral video on Google Lens. This led us to several media reports containing the same visuals uploaded and published in June 2022.
According to the media reports (1, 2), eighteen buses were destroyed when they were torched in June 2022 in the northern city of Safed, in a suspected attack linked to criminal demands for the payment of protection money.
Therefore, it is evident from D-Intent Data’s Fact Check that the viral video was not recent. But an old video from Safed, Israel where these buses were set on fire in June 2022.
