Following Donald Trump’s victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, claims have circulated on social media suggesting that Prime Minister Modi and President Trump will soon have a phone conversation to discuss issues related to Hindu persecution in Bangladesh and Khalistani terrorism in Canada. However, these claims are untrue. The tweet was from a Parody account, not Modi’s original account.
Making a post on X (Formerly Twitter) @drdeoranjan wrote. “PM Modi and President #Trump will shortly talk over the phone and discuss atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and Khalistani Terrorism in Canada.”

The truth behind the claims related to PM Modi and Donald Trump, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis regarding the claims and found that these claims were not true.
To verify the claims made by the users. We visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s official Twitter (X) account and couldn’t find any such statement. But we found a congratulatory message. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has only extended congratulations to Trump, emphasizing the importance of the India-U.S. relationship.

Furthermore, we found that the claims surfaced on social media after a parody account @narendram0dee made the post on X ( Formerly Twitter) stating, Have set up a call with my friend President @realDonaldTrump to congratulate him on his historic win. Among other things, we will discuss the current violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, Khalistani terrorism enabled by @JustinTrudeau in Canada, along with the Ukraine war.

Hence, the social media posts originated from a parody account on X and have no official connection to Prime Minister Modi.
