Israel-Palestine Conflict- Lebanese Short Film Scene Went Viral as Palestinians ‘Faking Injuries’: Fact-Check

A video of a young girl claiming to be a Palestinian girl faking injuries in #Pallywood has gone viral.

Verified accounts on twitter, including @Sanatani_Kiran tweeted “The Palestinians are fooling the international media and public opinion. DON’T FALL FOR IT. See for yourselves how they fake injuries and evacuating “injured” civilians, all in front of thr cameras. Pallywood gets busted again.” . The tweet was made on Nov 9, 2023, which has received an about 418.9k views on X.

@shim_rational also believed in the same way and tweeted “Lying dogs SCUMS is a compliment #Istandwithisrael #October7massacre #pallywood #PallywoodLies

Several other accounts, including Ofir Gendelman (“@ofirgendelman“), @AlexandreR1001, @MeghUpdates, Abhijit Majumder (“@abhijitmajumder“), @MichalSabra, leonskee (“@leeonskee“) also shared the same video on X and claimed the same that some dramatic shots were taken in the video. The users claimed sarcastically that it is an episode of Pallywood claiming that the Palestinian girl faked injuries. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

She is, in fact, an actress in a short film from Lebanon that is devoted to the Palestinians suffering  during the conflict in Gaza. Pallywood and fictitious injuries are unrelated to it.

We found the Instagram account of rami.jardali where she clearly mentioned in her bio as “Actor”.

She uploaded the original video of the incident in her Instagram page on Oct 29, 2023.

Intent:

Propagandists Circulate videos with false claims to set their propaganda over the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Several users on twitter claimed that the young girl in the video claiming to be a Palestinian girl faked injuries in #Pallywood . But, after, proper research, analysis and fact-checking, we have discovered that she is an actress in a short film from Lebanon that is dedicated to the Palestinians suffering during the war in Gaza. Pallywood and fictitious injuries are not at all related to it.

Conclusion:

Claim : Videos of a young girl purporting to be a Palestinian girl pretending to be injured in the Pallywood are making the rounds.

Fact : Her role as an actress in a Lebanese short film honouring the Palestinians suffering the conflict in Gaza is the reality. That is unrelated to Pallywood and fictitious injuries.
