We visited Times of India, which published an article on this incident on December 29, 2021 with the headline “Uttar Pradesh: Minor Dalit Girl Brutalised Over Suspicion Of Theft, Three Arrested”. The video, which lasts more than a minute, shows two guys forcing a teenage girl to the ground while a third man uses a stick to strike her on the soles of her feet. The girl was allegedly charged with theft. In the footage, the girl is also seen being questioned by three women. One of the males strikes the girl once again as she writhes in agony, pulling her to the ground and snatching her by the hair.
