The Yemeni Houthi Organisation is said to have captured an Indian ship carrying cows and mistaken it for an Israeli ship, according to a video that has been circulated and shows cattle being transported by a ship.”

Verified accounts on twitter, including Ali Sohrab (“@007AliSohrab“) tweeted “In India, Hunood, cow (animal) is worshiped as mother, then where and why are these cows being sent? Is it being donated for free? Or being sold?”. The tweet was made on Dec 21, 2023, which has received an about more than 7k views on X. The user further supported the tweet made by Kashif Arsalaan (“@KashifArsalaan“).

Several other accounts, including @Azmiboy00786, Hafeez Al Akbar (“@hafeezalakbar“) also made the same claim that The Houthi organization in Yemen took over an Israeli cargo ship, mistakenly believing it to be an Israel terrorist cargo ship. Later, it was discovered that the Indian ship was loaded with cows,  which are worshipped as Indian gods. The archive can be read from above.

The truth is that this video has been circulating for the past 34 days or more, and it is unrelated and unverified. According to a report, on November 19, an Israel-linked ship bound for India was taken over by the Yemen rebel group of Houthis. There were no cattle present on the ship. Israel has called the hijacking “another Iranian act of terrorism” and asserted that the ship is operated by Japan and owned by the British. The assertions posited by propagandists lack foundation.
