His videos and photos have been widely available online since 2020–21 and were shared by multiple Facebook and YouTube channels such as PkStarOfficial, Lanja Maar, Olasi Adalat with Muhammad Kashif, Aam Khaber, Pashto Official, and Pashto Video.
There is no official confirmation from either Pakistan or India linking Daud Shah to the Indian Army or to posing as an imam in Peshawar. According to local reports, his family members are also known publicly on social media—his daughter as “Alisha 007” and his wife as “Sonia Shah.”
