In reality, this video is from June 2022 in Ayodhya, where a man was assaulted by a mob for kissing his wife while bathing at Ram ki Paidi on the banks of the Saryu River.

The truth about the video, Fact Check
As soon as the posts containing the video and claims came to our notice. Subsequently, we conducted research and analysis of the video. We found that the video was not from Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj but an old incident from Ayodhya.
To verify the claims made by propagandists. We performed a reverse image search of some keyframes from the viral video using Google Lens. This led us to several media reports containing the same visuals. According to the reports (1, 2, 3), and Police sources, this video is from June 2022 in Ayodhya, where a man was assaulted by a mob for kissing his wife while bathing at Ram ki Paidi on the banks of the Saryu River. The video is unrelated to the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj.
Therefore, it is evident from verified sources that the video was not related to Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. But an old incident from Ayodhya.
