Indians And Hindus Are Not Allowed In South Korea? Fact-Check

There are unfounded rumours circulating about a YouTube video thumbnail screenshot suggesting that Indians and Hindus are not allowed in South Korea.

Several accounts on twitter, including Sikhs are not Hindu (“@akaal_sewak“) made the same claim that South Korea in not allowing Indians and Hindus. The tweet was made on Dec 29, 2023, which has received an about more than 3k views on X. The archive can be read from above.

What is the Actual Truth About this Incident? : Fact

The claim made is false and unfounded. False claims were made that Indians were not allowed to enter South Korea during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 were spread. At the time, the Korean embassy made it clear that Indians were not subject to any restrictions.

But, after proper research, analysis and fact-checking, we have discovered that this claim is untrue and unfounded; during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, there were unfounded rumours that Indians were prohibited from entering South Korea. At the time, the Korean embassy made it clear that Indians were not subject to any restrictions. However, the truth is that 7 out of 10 foreign citizens claim that racism and discrimination against Muslims exists in South Korea. Because the bartenders in Seoul could not speak English, very few bars turned away customers who were not Korean. In general, there are special restaurants and bars for tourists in many Korean cities. A few years ago, the government of South Korea placed restrictions on people from Pakistan and Bangladesh. Recently, talks have also taken place between Seoul and New Delhi to improve cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region in order to strengthen their bilateral partnership.
